The Ultimate guide to Getting over depression, mood swings & bad moods Based on psychology
Back in 2006 i was very passionate about self help and psychology. I used to read everyday for hours and hours. One day i decided to make money out of that hobby so the first thing that came to my mind was giving training courses as a part time job.
And as soon as i decided to do that i got some real negative comments from people. Here are some of the comments i got from friends, relatives and almost everyone else.
- Dude, do you think those things are practical? (referring to self help)
- There are so many trainers out there, its really hard to do it
- Man focus on your career, that's a waste of time
- Are there people who are really interested in this stuff? i doubt
- you don't have a PHD man, people won't trust you
- you won't make much money out of that
The same thing always happens when you tell people that you want to do something differently. They just put you down whether their intentions were good or bad.
But because i was really passionate about those topics i decided to keep going forward even though i was put down by their words.
After few years of struggling as a trainer i discovered that i have passion for self help but not for being a trainer so i decided to move my work online and to start an internet business. At this point the criticism became even harsher:
- Make money online, are you crazy?
- The guy went nuts (behind my back)
- nice but will it work? (sarcasm)
- website? hahahahahaah (sarcasm)
- Hey Farouk, hows your puffff(laughing) website hahahhahah (sarcasm)
There was only one reason that kept me moving forward. I believed i was writing great content on 2knowmyself and i was sure someday some people will appreciate it.
Years have passed, 2knowmyself became popular, cash began to come in, the site's ranking was going up steadily and people started to notice that i was becoming successful.
The previous image shows the countries where 2knowmyself have presence. The green color means that 2knowmyself has visitors in this country while the white means that no people from this country visit 2knowmyself.
As you can notice, THERE IS NO WHITE!
In every corner of the word 2knowmyself has readers and some loyal customers. The dark green color means that a larger percentage of people visit 2knowmyself from that country. (See my book From 0 to 1 million dollars)
When you believe in yourself and keep going forward you prove all of those who didn't believe in you wrong. But if you gave up then the people who put down won't just know they were right but you will also believe them since you won't have any proof to defy their negative statements about you.
Today the story is repeating itself with me again. I started a social network, Optimistnet a social network for positivity and motivation.
People started to make comments like "will it work?", "You need a lot of money to make it popular" and "sounds good but can it really work?"...etc
The same story is repeating itself again but with different people and i intend to make this story end like the first one.
So why should you bother all that? to know that you should never listen to those who put you down.
